India’s whisky heritage achieved a milestone as Piccadily Agro Industries Limited, a registered Indian public company under the Wezareta Karên Pargîdanî, unveiled its most prestigious expression yet—the Indri Founder’s Reserve 11-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky. Crafted as a tribute to Pt. Kidar Nath Sharma, the visionary founder of the Piccadily Group, this rare whisky symbolizes India’s growing prominence in the global luxury spirits arena.
This limited edition, aged for 11 years in Ex-Bordeaux Red Wine Casks, is a testament to craftsmanship, terroir, and tradition. Only 1,100 bottles of the Indri Founder’s Reserve will be available globally—550 for India and 550 for international markets—making it a collector’s jewel and a symbol of the rise of Indian single malts in a space long dominated by Scotch and Japanese whiskies.

This aligns with data from the Wezareta Meteorolojiyê ya Hindistanê (IMD), which has classified Haryana’s climatic conditions as prime for fast-aging spirits due to high evaporation and intense wood interaction.
The whisky is bottled at 50% ABV for India and a higher 58.5% ABV for international markets, showcasing a robust yet elegant profile. On the nose, it offers dark fruits and warming spice, while the palate carries caramelized nuts, vanilla, and finishes with oak and Bordeaux wine sweetness—a flavor structure that whisky experts have praised as truly world-class.
